Routine Examinations

(pediatric and geriatric)

We continue to welcome new patients. Our comprehensive routine exam is catered to every age group, with special consideration to the pediatric and geriatric population. Our routine exams screen for eye disease, strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia (lazy eye), and low vision (poor vision despite best correction).

Eye Disease

We provide diagnosis and/or management of a variety of ocular diseases. Every comprehensive dilated examination screens for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, etc. We use screening visual fields, corneal topography (mapping), and digital photography as part of every routine exam. Additionally, we have threshold visual fields and a scanning laser (GdX) to further investigate ocular disease.

Glasses

Our optical is staffed with ABO certified opticians to select the best lens design and frame combination for each patient. We display hundreds of designer frames, which vary in style and price. We have many children, safety, sport, and sunglass options.
The optical has over 800 frames displayed, including many designer frames: BCBG, Brooks Brothers, Ellen Tracy, Liz Claiborn, Nike, Nine West, Prodesign, Silhouette, Versus, Versace, and many more.

Additionally, our optical offers the most popular lens options, including: Crizal Alize, Transitions, TD2, Polarized, Polycarbonate, Hi Index, and Varilux lenses, etc..

Contact Lens

We use the most up to date contact lens technology for optimal comfort and visual success. We routinely use rigid gas permeable lenses and silicone hydrogel soft contact lenses to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia (bifocal lenses).

Pre and Post Operative Care

Dr. Kisiolek and Dr. Beiersdorf work with ophthalmologists, locally and within the state, to manage cataract and refractive surgery pre and post-operative care.

Low Vision

We provide low vision evaluations for patients with significant visual loss. Low vision is defined as visual loss that cannot be corrected with traditional glasses or contact lenses. We spend the necessary time to determine the most beneficial visual aids to assist in daily living.

EPIC Refraction System

Automatic prescription evaluation administered by a trained optometric technician.

3D Wave

Corneal mapping with special consideration of the optical pathway.

Digital Photography

Captures a baseline retinal photograph to compare at subsequent visits.

GdX

Scanning laser of the optic nerve, which aids in early glaucoma diagnosis.

Pachymeter

Measures corneal thickness, useful tool for the diagnosis of corneal disease and glaucoma risk.

Humphrey Visual Fields

Contributes to the diagnosis of optic nerve disease and retinal pathology.

We accept cash, personal checks.

Our office provides emergency, red eye, sore eye, and foreign body removal services.
